FOG - Four Old Geezers

Four Old Geezers was formed in April 2010 when Four Old Geezers with nothing better to do thought they would annoy the neighbours by starting a rock band. It is no surprise that we chose 1960's music as most of us were doin' our courtin' then!

Ken

Ken is our rhythm and vocals. Ken can sing anything you name provided it is blues, in the Key of D and preferably a Clapton song. He has the occasional problem with his heart stopping - usually when he remembers the words of one of the songs.

Malcolm

Malc is the lead guitarist. Malc plays by ear, and it is sometimes apparent to all but Malc that he needs a new set of hearing aids. Malc also sings when Ken has laryngitis, and Malc's gravelly tones soon make Ken realise he wasn't so poorly after all.

Peter

Peter desperately tries to play Bass. He was so useless with his acoustic guitar that when the band realised they were one acoustic guitar too many and a bass player short, he didn't take the hint and push off as intended but borrowed his daughter's bass instead. That was years ago and he still can't play the damn thing. We only tolerate him 'cos he's the only one of us that understands the tecchie stuff.

Tim

Tim's the new youngster to the band, reducing the average age of the band by some considerable amount as he has only recently qualified for his senior citizens railcard. The highpoint of his musical training was lessons from Pic Withers of Dire Straits fame. Shame Tim can't remember anything he learned from Pic. He makes up for that now by bringing biscuits to the rehearsals - that is when he's not too busy playing tennis to remember.
